Q. What is SIMA MIND?
A. SIMA MIND is an AI-powered study platform built by SimaTech. It helps students — from kindergarten through postgraduate level, including medical, law, and other university programs — study more efficiently through an AI tutor, adaptive explanations, flashcards, quizzes, timetables, and more.
Q. Who is SIMA MIND for?
A. Anyone studying, at any level: school learners preparing for exams (e.g., ECZ-style papers), university students across disciplines, medical students preparing for clinical rotations, MCQs, OSCEs, and OSPEs, and law students preparing for bar-style exams. SIMA adapts to your level and course.
Q. Do I need an account to use SIMA MIND?
A. Some AI features are available as a guest, but full features — saved progress, uploads, study groups, timetables, and subscriptions — require an account.
Q. What's the minimum age to use SIMA MIND?
A. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you're younger than 13, please use SIMA MIND together with a parent, guardian, or teacher's account, where applicable.
AI & Accuracy
Q. Is SIMA's AI always accurate?
A. No AI is perfect. SIMA is generally reliable, but like any AI system, it can occasionally make mistakes or give incomplete answers — especially on nuanced or fast-changing topics. Always verify important information, particularly for exams, clinical decisions, and legal material, against your official course materials, textbooks, and instructors.
Q. Can I rely on SIMA MIND for medical or legal decisions?
A. No. SIMA MIND is an educational tool only. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, clinical decision-making, or legal advice, and should never replace qualified professionals, institutional guidance, or authoritative resources.
Q. Does SIMA MIND use ChatGPT/other AI models?
A. SIMA MIND doesn't rely on a public third-party AI provider for its tutoring — the AI is run and hosted through our own infrastructure, using third-party hosting/channel services behind the scenes to keep everything running. You're always talking to SIMA, not a third-party chatbot.
Subscriptions
Q. What plans are available?
A. Basic (free), Scholar Lite, Standard, and Scholar. Each unlocks progressively more messages, uploads, MCQ generation, exam practice, audio/video studio tools, group study, clinical tools, and higher-quality AI responses. See the Pricing page for the full comparison.
Q. Is there a free trial?
A. Yes — every new account automatically gets a 14-day free trial starting the moment you sign up.
Q. How much do plans cost, and in what currency?
A. Pricing is shown in-app in Zambian Kwacha (ZMW) and US Dollars (USD). We currently offer monthly billing, with annual billing planned for the future. Prices may change from time to time — the price shown in the app or at checkout at the time of purchase is what applies to you.
Q. How do I pay?
A. Payments are processed via Flutterwave, supporting bank cards, bank transfers, and mobile money (including Airtel Money, MTN Money, and Zamtel Money), depending on your region and what's available at checkout.
Q. How do I cancel my subscription?
A. You can cancel anytime from your account settings, or through Google Play if you subscribed there. Cancelling stops future renewal — you keep access until the end of your current paid period. Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription.
Q. Can I get a refund?
A. Refund requests are reviewed individually under our Refund & Cancellation Policy — they are not automatic. See that policy for full details.
Uploads & Content
Q. What file types can I upload?
A. PDF, PPT/PPTX, DOCX, TXT, and images. Daily upload limits depend on your plan.
Q. Can I upload copyrighted material, like textbooks?
A. Only upload material you have the right to use — for your own personal study purposes. Don't upload or share content that infringes someone else's copyright.
Q. What happens to my uploaded documents?
A. They're stored securely and used to power your personalised study tools (summaries, flashcards, quizzes, etc.). See the Privacy Policy for full detail on storage and retention.
Account & Privacy
Q. How do I delete my account?
A. Email account-deletion@simatech.uk, or use the account deletion page at simatech.uk/account-deletion. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data afterward.
Q. Is my data shared with anyone?
A. We don't sell your personal data. Data may be processed by trusted third-party service providers (such as hosting and payment processors) strictly to run SIMA MIND. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
Q. Where is my data stored?
A. Your data is stored with a third-party hosting provider. Because SIMA MIND is used internationally, the specific laws that apply to your data can depend on where you're located — see the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
